For more than 300 years, Sarangkheda, a village in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra, has been hosting Chetak Festival – a celebration of the finest equestrian breeds. A festival that lasts for a month, it is a rare, yet spectacular sight to witness more than 2000 majestic horses in a single location
Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has organized Sarangkheda Chetak Festival 2017 from 3rd December 2017 to 2nd Jan 2018 to attract domestic and foreign tourists in Nandurbar district.

Places To Visit
ASTHAMBA
Asthamba is one of the important religious places of Nandurbar district in Akrani Town. According to the locals, Asthamba is derived from Ashvathama, a mythological character in Mahabharata who is the son of Dronacharya. A 10-15 days of fair is held during the festival of Diwali which invites tribes from South Gujarat and Northwest Maharashtra.
DANDPANESHWAR GANESH TEMPLE
Another religious place of Nandurbar district is Dandpaneshwar Ganesh Temple where many devotees seek blessings of Lord Ganesha. The idol of Lord Ganesha is in saffron colour and silver layers are used to decorate the idol. The pleasant ambience in and around the temple and the greenery that surrounds the temple is very serene and attracts many tourists.
DATTA MANDIR
Datta Mandir is in Sarangkheda, Nadurbar District. The people of Sarangkheda welcome visitors and devotees around the world to be a part of a celebration organised in honour of Lord Datta every year on the eve of Datta Jayanti. Almost 100 years old, the beautiful shrine of a single faced idol of Lord Datta is situated on a rising ground with its tall shikhar overlooking the village which attracts thousands of devotees around the world. It is believed that the idol of Lord Datta has been brought from Mahur in Nanded District. The temple was further extended and was renovated forty years ago.
TORANMAL HILL STATION
Situated at a height of 1461 metres, Toranmal is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. An unexplored land which is a home to a variety of flora and fauna. The place is surrounded by Satpuda Hills, adjoining 7 hills of Satpuda range and offers beautiful sights that includes serene lakes, hills and lush green nature. The famous lake of Toranmal, Yashwant Lake, gives visitors a breathtaking view of the hills. The other tourist spots at Toranmal are Gorakhnath Temple, Lotus Lake, Sita Khai, Aawashabari View Point, Aawashabari View Point, Machhindranath Caves, Khadki Point, Sat Payari (Seven Steps) Point, Torna Devi Temple, Sunset Point, Forest Park and Medicinal Plant Garden.
